Our method
The programme starts before the first lesson.
That first session is a diagnostic one: we establish the real starting level, the objective and the schedule that is genuinely possible. The teacher, the plan and the number of hours are defined from there — not from page one of a textbook.
We teach six languages from A1 to C1 and prepare students for the CAPLE exams in Portuguese. Lessons are online or in person, in small groups or one-to-one. Technical training is in person, with proper equipment, at our facilities in Trofa.

We, a family of three, took a customized 150-hour A1/A2 Portuguese program with EduSetPT. I contacted EduSetPT at the beginning of April and requested a customized course to be completed by the end of August. Our request was not easy because we are in the U.S. Eastern and Western Time zones and because we are available only in weekends. Ms. Soares of EduSetPT quickly found a teacher for us so that we started the first class before the end of April. We took three-hour classes on Saturdays and Sundays and two-hour classes on Mondays. Our teacher, Ms. Monteiro taught us with passion and answered our rather difficult questions. She is also a very nice and friendly person. We met her family in Portugal and had a great time over dinner. We enjoyed learning the basic grammar and vocabulary. We also enjoyed learning the culture Portugal as well. I completed my 150-hour Portuguese course with the Centro Qualifica in partnership with EduSetPT and I enjoyed it so much.
The learning course is very well-structured. In the first part of a lesson, we do some theory and practice pronunciation of the language, then we take a break - tea-time or lunch-time (depending on what time you are in the world), and lastly, we end learning about the rich Portuguese culture, foods and traditions to gain a deeper understanding of the unique country of Portugal. We even learnt to sing the national anthem, A Portuguesa, which was lots of fun. I’m so grateful to have had such a fascinating group of peer students and a brilliant and passionate teacher.
It took me a while to find out a suitable language center. EdusetP´s course is right fit with my timing and needs. Different with my thinking, the teacher not only trained the conventional lessons but also let us get more understandings about Portugal. What we can remember after the course are the valuable experiences and stories about the Portugal country, culture, festives, songs, ways of living, food, ... very unique! Lastly, structure of the class (half lesson, half entertainment) made us feel more comfortable to complete a long day class at different time zones 🙂 Highly recommended!
